This project was a lot of fun! I love how all of the colors, photos, and content came together so beautifully. I truly enjoyed collaborating with my fellow designers on this project. Even when we disagreed, we communicated effectively until we reached a consensus.
Importance of taking into account the stakeholder:
Half way into the project design, the president of the organization shared that donations were essential to their success and financial stability as a nonprofit. Although this aligned with some user feedback, it reinforced that stakeholder and user goals are not always identical and must be reconciled during the design process.
Add Videos:
Videos are an excellent way for potential participants and/or donors to get a feel for the organization and decide to enroll. From a business standpoint, videos help boost SEO, improve conversion, and time spent on a page, which can all help keep a business or nonprofit solvent.
Facilitate connections between members beyond community events:
This will give participants another excellent reason to join Running Start, stay motivated, and feel like they are part of a community.
Mobile App Design:
A mobile app would easily manage your progress, miles run, meetups, educational events, and forum discussions. This feature will distinguish Running Start from the competition and ensure success for years to come.
